Foreground is partnering with a leading retail and distribution company in Riyadh to hire a Distribution Director.
As part of its efforts to optimize supply chain efficiency and enhance distribution capabilities the company is seeking an experienced Distribution Director to lead logistics strategy network optimization and operational efficiency. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in largescale distribution operations supply chain transformation and logistics automation.
Role Overview
The Distribution Director will oversee endtoend supply chain and distribution operations ensuring cost optimization service excellence and network scalability. The ideal candidate will have expertise in demand planning warehousing lastmile delivery and thirdparty logistics (3PL) partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Distribution & Logistics Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy that ensures efficiency scalability and costeffectiveness.
- Oversee the companys network of distribution centers warehouses and logistics operations to improve service levels and minimize costs.
- Optimize inventory management demand forecasting and fulfillment operations to enhance supply chain reliability.
- Identify emerging trends market shifts and technology advancements that can enhance distribution capabilities.
Process Optimization & Operational Efficiency
- Lead supply chain automation efforts integrating technology solutions to enhance logistics performance.
- Implement bestinclass warehousing transportation and inventory control systems to drive efficiency.
- Develop KPIdriven performance management frameworks ensuring continuous process improvement.
- Reduce lead times and improve lastmile delivery performance by optimizing distribution network design.
CrossFunctional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with sales marketing and procurement teams to align distribution capabilities with business goals.
- Establish strong partnerships with thirdparty logistics providers (3PLs) suppliers and distribution partners.
- Ensure seamless coordination between regional and global supply chain networks to improve agility and responsiveness.
Compliance Risk Management & Cost Control
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements safety standards and industry best practices.
- Monitor and manage logistics costs budgets and costsaving initiatives to optimize overall distribution expenses.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent supply chain disruptions and operational inefficiencies.
Key Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in supply chain logistics or distribution leadership preferably within retail FMCG or distribution industries.
- Expertise in warehouse management logistics automation and distribution network optimization.
- Strong leadership skills with a datadriven approach to decisionmaking and performance improvement.
- Proven experience in strategic supply chain planning cost control and operational efficiency enhancement.
- Ability to manage large teams drive process automation and oversee complex logistics networks.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field (MBA preferred).
