Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated IT Operations Engineer to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring maintaining and troubleshooting critical IT infrastructure ensuring system uptime and responding to incidents in a timely manner. This role requires strong technical expertise problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor IT systems networks and applications using monitoring tools to ensure availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues related to servers networks storage and cloud environments.
- Respond to incidents alerts and service requests ensuring efficient resolution within SLAs.
- Collaborate with different IT teams (Network Security DevOps etc.) to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and system updates including patching backups and security audits.
- Document incidents resolutions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for continuous improvement.
- Automate repetitive tasks and optimize system performance using scripting (PowerShell Python Bash etc.).
- Ensure security compliance by monitoring vulnerabilities threats and unauthorized access.
- Participate in shiftbased operations including nights weekends and holidays as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4 years of experience in IT operations network/system administration or NOC environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers networking (TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN VLANs).
- Experience with monitoring tools (SPLUNK SCOM Zabbix Instant etc.).
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow Open Text Remedy etc.).
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell Bash Python) for automation.
- Understanding of IT Problem Management and incident response procedures.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 rotating shift and handle highpressure situations.
Preferred:
- Certifications such as ITIL.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware VCF.)
- Familiarity with log management and Ticketing systems.
