Job Description: IT Executive

Location: QSourcing Tanzania Limited
Department: IT
Reports To: General Manager

Position Overview: The IT Executive will support the organizations IT infrastructure ensuring the effective operation of IT systems and providing technical support to employees. This role includes overseeing daily IT operations troubleshooting issues managing software and hardware installations and assisting with IT projects. The IT Executive plays a key role in maintaining data security optimizing IT processes and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

    • Provide daily technical support to staff troubleshooting hardware software and network issues.
    • Ensure minimal downtime by efficiently resolving issues and coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.

2. Network & System Management

    • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure reliability and security.
    • Implement and manage user accounts access levels and permissions.
    • Perform regular system updates backups and data protection measures.

3. IT Infrastructure & Security

    • Manage IT resources to maintain a secure and scalable environment protecting company data and minimizing security risks.
    • Ensure compliance with security protocols and manage firewall and antivirus systems.

4. Project Management

    • Oversee IT projects including the deployment of new hardware software and network updates.
    • Coordinate with vendors and manage relationships with thirdparty service providers.

5. Documentation & Training

    • Document procedures configurations and technical troubleshooting steps.
    • Train staff on the use of new applications software and best practices in IT security.

6. Inventory Management

    • Maintain an inventory of all IT hardware and software assets including licensing and warranties.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A Network or similar are preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of network security practices and troubleshooting techniques.

Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in IT support or network administration roles.
  • Handson experience with Microsoft Windows Office 365 and common business applications
  • Experience in ERP System is a mandatory.
  • Usage of SharePoint and backup systems.
  • Knowledge of network management and cybersecurity practices.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools is a must.
  • Experience working with IT vendors for procurement of hardware and software managing service contracts and handling negotiations.
  • Experience in managing and optimizing help desk systems and ticketing workflows for efficient user support.

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to IT management.
