Job Summary.
Our Client an Insurance Company is looking for a qualified Senior Claims Officer who will be responsible for managing a complex portfolio of insurance claims investigating potential issues making informed decisions on claim approvals communicating with claimants and other stakeholders ensuring timely claim settlements and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations often requiring a high level of experience in claims handling and strong analytical skill.
Responsibilities;
- Verify all claims presented to ensure that they fall within the scope of respective insurance policy cover and that policy conditions have been met.
- Acknowledge receipt of new claims register new claims and open claim files (manual and electronic) while ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Communicate the decision regarding coverage and accuracy of claims to claimants insureds branches and other parties concerned.
- Preparation of settlement claim notes upon receipt of the loss assessment report.
- Liaising with accounts/underwriting on premium payment on policy with claims.
- Follow up all registered claims through to final settlement/payment.
- Initiate recoveries from thirdparty insurers through our legal department.
- Communicate constantly with direct clients & intermediaries on the status of their claims.
- Resolve or escalate client complaints within the set timelines.
- The management may assign any other duty from time to time.
- Processing writeoff claims.
- Following up on payments from salvage buyers.
- Liaising with the Finance department on the premium status of various claims before the settlement of claims.
Requirements
- 3 Years in Insurance.
- Should be specialized on NonMotor Insurance Claims.
- Minimum knowledge of computer skills including proficiency in Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Strong analytical communication and problemsolving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
