The Fire Life & Safety Supervisor is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safety security and operational integrity of our facilities. This position plays a vital part in maintaining regulatory compliance and safeguarding our assets.
- Strong focus on safety protocols and asset protection.
- Implement and maintain rigorous preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal facility performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Lead and coordinate the emergency response team maintaining readiness for all potential facility issues.
- Conduct regular assessments of building systems grounds and physical plant to identify and address potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all maintenance activities safety inspections and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Provide expert guidance on fire life and safety matters to all levels of the organization.
- Assists with managing and controlling heat light and power and recommends current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations.
- Distributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitors timeliness and quality of completion.
- Builds positive relationships with external customers such as city building/zoning department fire prevention bureau and vendors.
- Ensures fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures equipment and alarms.
- Performs monthly property inspection to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition.
- Conducts guest room and common area inspection to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.
- Ensures building and equipment licenses and certifications are current.
- Maintains property life safety systems (fire fighting equipment sprinkler systems and alarm systems).
Qualifications :
Candidates must meet one of the following stringent educational and experience requirements:
Option 1:
- High school diploma (mandatory)
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in engineering and maintenance or a directly related professional field
- Completion of rigorous technical training in HVACR electrical systems plumbing and Fire Life Safety (FLS) Certification
Option 2:
- Associates degree (2year program) from an accredited institution of higher education in one of the following fields: Building and Construction Engineering Mechanics or a closely related discipline
- No prior experience required but candidates must demonstrate a strong academic background and practical skills relevant to the position
