Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties include but not limited to:
a) CIPS & DCVG Surveys on pipelines in the Oil & Gas Operations network in Dukhan Fields including piping/pipeline networks in Plant areas Road Crossings
b) Carry out conventional cathodic protection works such as potential voltage and current measurements at test points T/R units PM checks/measurements Tank PSP/Off potentials surveys identifying current drainage sources able to check & identify the continuity bonds cross bonds condition of insulating joints and other cathodic protection hardware related issues either as part of routine surveys or troubleshooting.
c) Cathodic Protection Technician shall be capable of creating reports for the surveys including an interpretation of the results and comments and recommendations for remedial action where appropriate.
d) CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL shall from time to time carry out surveys along pipeline routes on the GDS as part of their duties. For the CP technicians this will be a significant part of their work.
Requirements
Qualifications
a. Shall possess Graduate in Engineering discipline or at least a Higher Diploma in Engineering with a certification from NACE as CP Technician (NACE CP Level II).
b. A minimum experience of Eight (8) years in Cathodic Protection and must have experience in three similar specialized survey scopes (CIPS DCVG etc.) within the past 5 years.
c. Knowledge and experience of Cathodic Protection at all stages in new projects and existing operating system including preparation of finding and remedial actions report.
d. Capable to carryout SACP and ICCP surveys
e. Proficient in CIPS and DCVG surveys and interpretations.
f. Proficient in PSP surveys and interpretations
g. Capable to carry out the Tank internals/bottom CP surveys and interpretations.
h. Good command of English language both written and spoken is required.
