Job Description
Fire Protection Sprinkler Designer
Location: San Diego California United States
Industry: Construction & Trades
We are industry leaders with a combined 55 years of experience in fire protection design and consulting. Forthe past 18 years we have been at the forefront of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the fireprotection industry. Our projects span a wide range of commercial and multifamily construction includingwarehouses hospitals senior living facilities schools apartments data centers government projects andDepartment of Defense projects.

Responsibilities
Tenant Improvement Work: Survey existing buildings and modify fire sprinkler systems toaccommodate remodeled walls and ceiling changes.
Contract Design: Prepare complete fire sprinkler system designs for submittal and installationsecuring all relevant background information.
BIM Coordination: Model and coordinate fire sprinkler systems with building structures and othertrades using BIM when necessary (training provided).
Listing and Fabrication: Develop detailed listing drawings for fabrication purposes and foremansplans for installation.
Collaborative Projects: Partner with colleagues to execute largescale projects such as highrisesand extensive tenant improvements.
Requirements
Proficiency in fire protection design software such as AutoSPRINK SprinkCAD or AutoCAD.
BIM experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate effectively with other trades and project teams.
Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
