About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Assistant Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at a leading Saudi restaurant in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have experience in traditional Saudi cuisine a flair for innovation and the ability to work in a highpressure environment while maintaining high culinary standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cooking and presenting dishes according to the restaurants quality standards and menu specifications.
- Handle the preparation of ingredients including portioning chopping and marinating while minimizing waste.
- Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the required quality taste and presentation standards.
- Monitor kitchen supplies assist in ordering ingredients and ensure proper storage and stock rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Help train junior kitchen staff promoting best practices and efficient workflows.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years as an Assistant Chef or similar role in a restaurant environment with experience in Saudi or Middle Eastern cuisine preferred.
- Knowledge of traditional Saudi recipes and cooking techniques
- Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
- Diploma or certification in culinary arts is a plus
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Arabic or English is required.
- Saudi residency is mandatory
