Position: Specification Engineer (Electrical Engineer)

Our client is a key player in a consortium dedicated to delivering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabias
ambitious National Renewable Energy Program. This initiative aims to achieve a total renewable
energy capacity of 11.4 GW once fully operational
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Specification Engineer (Electrical Engineer) to develop review and manage technical specifications for electrical engineering projects. This role is critical in ensuring that all electrical systems materials and components meet project requirements industry standards and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering technical expertise in materials and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Specification Development:
Prepare and manage detailed technical specifications for electrical systems equipment and materials.
Ensure specifications align with project objectives regulatory standards and client requirements.
Technical Review & Compliance:
Review electrical designs schematics and drawings to ensure alignment with specifications.
Ensure compliance with international and local standards (e.g. IEC IEEE NEC).
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with design procurement and project teams to ensure clarity and alignment on technical requirements.
Address technical queries and liaise with stakeholders including clients contractors and regulatory authorities.
Material Evaluation & Selection:
Research evaluate and recommend electrical components and materials based on quality cost and project needs.
Maintain a database of approved suppliers and materials for future reference.
Documentation & Reporting:
Create and update technical documentation including specification manuals and reports.
Provide detailed technical insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technologies materials and standards.
Identify and implement best practices to enhance specification processes and project efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Professional certifications in electrical engineering or specification management are a plus.
Minimum of 10years of experience in specification engineering or a related field.
Proven track record in largescale electrical engineering projects preferably in construction or energy sectors.
Strong understanding of electrical systems components and materials.
Proficiency in electrical design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD ETAP or similar software.
Knowledge of applicable standards and codes (e.g. IEC IEEE NEC).
