Job Summary
The Photography and Video Officer is responsible for providing and generating all media projects at Alfaisal University and adapting to its active and engaging learning environment. This includes the handling of all aspects of photography videography media management and editing. The incumbent consults with his Marketing Communications manager faculty staff and other outside entities during project development to determine the goals and objectives of productions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Creates a digital archive and provides an accessible and easy to use archival library systems for the Marketing Communications team to access and use.
- Serves as the Alfaisal University primary videographer and photographer to create all marketing including but not limited to events videos campaigns and digital media requirements.
- Works with the writing web and design staff to bring initiatives and creative items from conception to completion.
- Updates Alfaisal University photographys files of campus locations buildings faculty staff and students.
- Serves as the central resource for an online photo database and works with student employees to ensure correct classifications and image details.
- Performs limited editing and assembles essential videos to ensure consistency and relevancy to production and monitor its technical quality.
- Archives develops and organizes the internal shared library (server and hard drive).
- Entries full photos and video coverage for events visits lectures Student activities and ceremonies.
- Uploads all the photo coverage and videos on Alfaisal Universitys Website YouTube and social media.
- Ensures departmental equipments operational condition by testing performing repairs and performing setups and preventive maintenance as appropriate.
- Oversees the security operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in shooting and editing.
- Examines for new ideas and proposes innovative ideas to Marketing Communications team.
- Handles all preandpostproduction activities including coordination of photography subjects facilitation of covering student activities and filming execution.
- Performs quality assurance for all photo content posted on Alfaisal University social media platforms.
- Uses professional production equipment such as cameras lights sound recording and postproduction such as audio mixing color correcting editing titling and projection and other related equipment.
- Maintains and familiars with the equipment capabilities and limitations.
- Performs all other duties in a professional effective and confidential manner.
- Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by the manager.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Arts Fine Arts Science Photography Program or equivalent from an accredited institute.
- Minimum of two (02) years experience in photography set design cameras production and visual communication or related field (Desirable).
