responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of the warehouse ensuring efficient workflow timely delivery of goods and adherence to safety protocols. This role involves managing a team of warehouse staff organizing inventory coordinating shipments and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations:
- Assist in overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor workflow and productivity implementing improvements as necessary.
- Team Supervision:
- Supervise and train warehouse staff ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
- Schedule shifts and manage employee attendance and performance.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in managing inventory levels including receiving stocking and shipping products.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
- Promote a culture of safety and encourage employees to report hazards or incidents.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory shipments and warehouse activities.
- Prepare reports for the Warehouse Manager regarding performance metrics and operational challenges.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g. purchasing sales) to coordinate warehouse activities and support overall business goals.
- Assist in the development and implementation of warehouse policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures inventory management and logistics operations.
2. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
3. Proficiency in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications.
4. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations.
5. Education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management or industrial engineering.
