The Pastry Kitchen Chef Commis 1 plays a vital role in the pastry department of our culinary team. This entry-level position is designed for those looking to hone their skills and gain hands-on experience in pastry preparation and production. The Commis 1 will assist in creating high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining the kitchen’s standards for cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and Production:
- Assist in the preparation of pastry items including cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts.
- Follow recipes and instructions from the Pastry Chef to ensure consistency and quality.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately, adhering to standard portion sizes.

Quality Control:
- Ensure all products meet the quality and presentation standards of the kitchen.
- Taste products to ensure flavor profiles are correct and report any inconsistencies to the Pastry Chef.

Kitchen Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking supplies and ingredients, and ensuring all items are stored properly.

- Operate kitchen equipment and tools safely and effectively, including mixers, ovens, and pastry tools.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the Pastry Chef immediately.

Qualifications:
