Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced PR & Communications Director to spearhead our community engagement efforts, manage media and public relations, and foster relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will report directly to the PMO Director and engage regularly with various functional groups, including program management, engineering, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement:

As our PR & Communications Director, you will play a vital role in building local networks of community members to ensure the successful implementation of our tree planting initiatives. You will create opportunities for community members to engage with program representatives, enabling them to voice their concerns and suggestions.

Your primary responsibility will be to execute a comprehensive community engagement plan that aligns with our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You will define and utilize a variety of communication tools and materials tailored to different audiences, effectively conveying critical messages to the public.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with community representatives, school officials, and departmental staff will be crucial to your success. Your ability to collaborate and communicate will support the successful delivery of our communication program, ensuring that community members feel informed and involved.

Media and Public Relations:

In addition to community engagement, you will manage our public relations consulting firm, ensuring that all deliverables meet our standards for excellence. You will execute a strategic public relations plan that aligns with our KPIs, effectively enhancing our program's visibility and reputation.

Developing and planning marketing projects will be a key part of your role. This includes creating and managing a content calendar, establishing deadlines, and coordinating with writers and graphic designers to produce compelling advertising content. You will also determine marketing campaign budgets and oversee the execution of these projects to ensure consistency and maximum impact.

Your analytical skills will come into play as you measure the results of marketing campaigns and adjust the strategy as needed. By tracking metrics and gathering feedback, you will refine our marketing approach to enhance engagement and outreach.
