Job Summary:
A Land Surveyor is responsible for measuring and mapping land properties boundaries and features to provide accurate data for construction engineering and land development projects. Their work ensures that land buildings and structures are developed in accordance with legal boundaries regulations and project specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Land and Property Measurement:
- Use specialized tools and technology such as GPS total stations theodolites and drones to measure land areas elevations and distances.
- Conduct detailed surveys of land properties including boundaries contours and topography.
- Boundary and Legal Surveying:
- Define mark and verify property boundaries.
- Research land records deeds and historical documents to confirm legal boundaries and rights of way.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze survey data and prepare reports maps and detailed documentation of land measurements.
- Use CAD (ComputerAided Design) software to draft maps and charts showing land boundaries and features.
- Collaboration with Other Professionals:
- Work closely with engineers architects construction teams and developers to provide precise data needed for project planning and execution.
- Liaise with legal professionals for disputes or clarifications regarding property boundaries.
- Compliance with Regulations:
- Ensure all surveys and measurements comply with local and national land laws and zoning regulations.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of landuse and boundary laws.
- Site Inspections: Visit project sites to ensure that construction and development activities are consistent with survey data.
- Monitor and resolve potential discrepancies or boundary conflicts onsite.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Surveying geomatics civil engineering or equivalent.
- More than 10 Years of total experience
- 5 7 years of experience in similar field
