As a sales professional at Veritas, your primary responsibility will be to drive new business by selling our offerings and services. You will cultivate relationships with decision-makers and key individuals within a defined geographic territory, ensuring that you effectively represent Veritas in the market.
To achieve your revenue targets, you will create focused territory plans that nurture and develop opportunities. Your role as the primary sales contact for customers and partners will require you to be proactive in developing key strategies that leverage a strong virtual team and resources, maximizing sales efforts within your assigned territory.
Collaboration will be crucial; you will engage effectively with various areas of the business, including Technical Support Services (TSS), Channel Management, Customer Management and Care (CMC), Sales Specialists, Public Relations, Sales Operations, and Marketing. Building a robust network of contacts within partner companies will also be essential to drive engagement and support your sales initiatives.
You will identify and qualify opportunities through a proven sales process, ensuring you maintain a strong pipeline. Accountability for meeting your assigned sales quota will be a key measure of your success. Additionally, you will conduct gap and white space analysis across your territory to uncover new opportunities for growth, ensuring you maintain a coverage model of 4:1 on all qualified opportunities.
Experience and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record of achievement against goals and targets. Experience in a sales capacity within the high-tech industry is essential, particularly within your first or second sales role in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on the public and government sectors.
Demonstrating the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with customers will be critical. You should have the capability to map Veritas offerings to customer needs, identifying new opportunities within your allocated enterprise accounts. Understanding the importance of account plans and effectively utilizing them to drive success will be vital to your performance.
You should also have a grasp of the operational cadence within your specific areas and ensure compliance with processes, legal standards, and revenue recognition. Presenting yourself in a professional manner will reflect your role as a representative of Veritas.
A demonstrable history of overachievement in personal, quota, and developmental areas will set you apart as a candidate. While exposure to Veritas offerings is desirable, a background in positioning infrastructure software will also be valuable. Your ability to integrate these experiences and skills will be key to your success in driving growth for Veritas.
