We are seeking a skilled HookUp Engineer to manage and coordinate hookup activities for offshore installations. The ideal candidate will have extensive offshore experience and expertise in the hookup of oil & gas facilities ensuring seamless integration from construction to commissioning phases.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan coordinate and supervise hookup activities for offshore structures pipelines and facilities.
- Develop detailed hookup procedures and work packs ensuring alignment with project schedules and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the project management installation and commissioning teams to ensure smooth transitions from precommissioning to commissioning.
- Oversee offshore hookup operations including managing teams of offshore personnel and contractors.
- Ensure all hookup activities are executed according to technical specifications safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the mobilization of hookup equipment materials and personnel to offshore sites.
- Conduct risk assessments and participate in safety reviews including HAZID and HAZOP studies to ensure safe operations.
- Liaise with the client contractors and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of hookup milestones.
- Prepare hookup reports tracking progress and identifying any deviations from the plan.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations during all phases of hookup.
- Provide technical support and guidance to offshore teams and ensure proper training of personnel.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Offshore or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 810 years of experience in offshore hookup engineering with proven experience in oil & gas facility installations.
- Strong knowledge of offshore hookup procedures including structural piping electrical and instrumentation installations.
- Experience in developing hookup work packs and coordinating offshore logistics.
- Familiarity with relevant offshore codes and standards such as API DNV and ISO.
- Proven experience working in offshore environments with an understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail in managing technical and operational challenges.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to interface with clients contractors and offshore teams.
- Ability to work in remote offshore locations and manage challenging schedules and conditions.
