Roles and responsibilities

As a Video Editor, you will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling video content that aligns with our brand identity and resonates with our target audience. You will be responsible for editing raw footage, enhancing video quality, and integrating sound, graphics, and effects to create polished final products. Your expertise will help elevate our content across various platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional materials.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Video Editing:

   • Edit raw footage into high-quality video content, ensuring a cohesive and engaging narrative.
   • Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project goals and creative vision.

2. Post-Production:

   • Enhance video quality through color correction, sound editing, and visual effects.
   • Integrate music, dialogue, sound effects, and graphics into videos.

3. Project Management:

   • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
   • Organize and archive video assets for easy access and retrieval.

4. Creative Input:

   • Contribute creative ideas and insights during the pre-production and post-production phases.
   • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve video quality and storytelling techniques.

5. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with other creatives, including graphic designers, animators, and marketing specialists, to ensure brand consistency across all video content.
   • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders throughout the production process.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
• Knowledge of sound editing and color grading techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with motion graphics and animation software (e.g., After Effects).
• Familiarity with various video formats and delivery specifications for digital platforms.
