Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. As a Retail Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored product recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement:

   • Greet customers warmly and establish a rapport to understand their needs.
   • Actively listen to customer inquiries and provide informative, helpful responses.

2. Sales and Product Knowledge:

   • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the products and services offered.
   • Utilize effective sales techniques to promote products and achieve sales targets.

3. Merchandising and Inventory Management:

   • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
   • Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves, organizing products, and conducting regular inventory checks.

4. Checkout and Transactions:

   • Efficiently process customer transactions using the point-of-sale system.
   • Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with accuracy and integrity.

5. Customer Service Excellence:

   • Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
   • Ensure that all customer interactions reflect the company’s commitment to high-quality service.

6. Team Collaboration:

   • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
   • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
   • Up-sell and cross-sell products and services in order to reach hourly and daily sales target.
   • Inform Department Manager of unavailable and nonperforming products.
   • Merchandize products under the appropriate sections according to sales trends, date of release, and as per the Department Manager recommendations.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
• Previous retail or sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
