Job Description:
As a Software Engineer specializing in Apigee API Management you will be responsible for developing implementing and maintaining API solutions using Apigee Edge platform. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and deploy APIs that meet the needs of our clients and ensure optimal performance scalability and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and implement API proxies policies and extensions using Apigee Edge platform.
- Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to integrate APIs with existing systems and applications.
- Write clean efficient and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging of APIrelated issues ensuring timely resolution.
- Conduct performance testing and optimization of APIs to ensure optimal scalability and responsiveness.
- Implement security measures such as OAuth JWT and TLS to protect APIs from unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Collaborate with product management teams to understand client requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in API management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in the same role.
- Proficiency in Apigee Edge platform and related technologies such as JSON XML etc.
- Strong programming skills in languages like Java JavaScript Python or Go.
- Experience with API security protocols and standards (OAuth JWT TLS etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) AWS or Azure.
- Apigee certification (e.g. Apigee API Engineer Apigee API Architect).
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
