HM Note: This hybrid role is three (3) days in office. Resource needs to be available December and January for operational support.
Responsibilities: and nbsp;
Responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Required to translate technical systems specifications into working tested applications. and nbsp;
This includes: developing detailed programming specifications writing and/or generating code compiling datadriven programs maintaining and conducting unit tests and nbsp;
Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages including technical assistance in implementation conversion and and nbsp;

Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level and nbsp;
Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle Experience in structured methodologies for the development design implementation and maintenance of applications and nbsp;
Experience in design code test debug and document applications and nbsp;
Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools and nbsp;
Experience in one or more programming languages and nbsp;
Experience in application design latest design patterns deployment and troubleshooting and nbsp;
Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies and nbsp;
Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages and nbsp;
Experience with one or more communications protocols and nbsp;
Experience in structured methodologies for the design development implementation and maintenance of applications and nbsp;
Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts and nbsp;

Knowledge and experience with developing all serverside logic definition and maintenance of the central database and ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend. and nbsp;

Responsibilities / Assignment Deliverables:
Coordinate and assist with testing after mainframe software/hardware infrastructure upgrades and disaster recovery process for PPSR and nbsp;
Monitor data usage and provide support for daily/monthly/yearend job scheduled and nbsp;
Provide ad hoc query requests to PPSR business area and/or auditors and nbsp;
Create operational support documentation and train others and nbsp;
Analysis leading to detailed information related to the current system logical and physical design and code structures during the concept phase of project and nbsp;
Analysis of technical database requirements leading to definition of changes required to support the new system. and nbsp;
Implementation of these changes and nbsp;
Creation of technical specifications in accordance with the OPS standards Identification of problems/issues along with mitigation strategies and nbsp;
Regular status reports on progress made and nbsp;
Effective knowledge transfer to I and amp;IT cluster staff as all stages of this assignment and nbsp;
Report status to and follow overall direction from the Project Manager and/or Lead technical Coordinator and nbsp;
Logical and physical design required to incorporate the required changes JAD sessions/walkthroughs to vet the design and obtain signoff of the technical specifications and nbsp;
Development of new code and modification of existing code (online batch and workstation) to implement the design as approved in the technical specifications and nbsp;
Interface with the midtier developers and nbsp;
Ensure that the appropriate QA technical standards are incorporated into all artefacts and system code and nbsp;
Preparation of test data and code unit testing and nbsp;
Participation in integration testing including input to the integration test plan setup of the test environment creation of test data of integration tests with the Business Analysts and developers recording of test results and defect repair and nbsp;
Planning and participation in code retrofit with other developers that are modifying the same code in other projects and nbsp;
Analysis of reported defects and corrections required to eliminate the defects and nbsp;
Use of Ministrymandated management tools for code libraries and nbsp;

10 years experience in structured methodologies for the development design implementation and maintenance of applications
10 years experience in design code test debug and documentation of applications and nbsp;
10 years experience with hierarchical database technologies such as IMS DB and VSAM to perform IMS Database ReOrganization Unload/Reload and Recovery Control and nbsp;
10 years experience in designing and developing Mainframe applications in large integrated IMS DB/DC Full Function and FASTPATH and nbsp;
10 years experience in using TSO/ISPF BTS JCL REXX Clist Enterprise COBOL Assembler and nbsp;
Proven experience with CA Scheduling MVS FileAid and MVS AbendAid tools and nbsp;
Proven Experience in the use of third generation language development tool CA Telon and IBM ACB BDB and PSB Generation and nbsp;
Proven Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using CA Easytrieve CA SAR Proven experience with IBM 3270SNA NDM communications and others and nbsp;
Proven experience with all stages of automated system implementation in large complex high volume online and batch Mainframe transactions environments and nbsp;
Excellent analytical problemsolving and decision making skills verbal and written communications skills interpersonal and negotiation skills and nbsp;
Demonstrable knowledge of Personal Property Security registration (PPSR) or similar property registration system and nbsp;
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in working in accordance with policies and procedures on the Ontario Public Service Evaluation: and nbsp;
