Job Summary:
We are looking for a detailoriented and experienced Clinical Information System Analyst to manage and optimize clinical information systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing implementing and supporting clinical software applications to enhance the quality of patient care and operational efficiency. Strong analytical skills and experience in healthcare IT systems are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess the needs of clinical staff to enhance the functionality of clinical information systems
- Configure and implement clinical software applications and ensure they meet user requirements
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for clinical information systems including troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand their workflow and system needs
- Develop and deliver training programs for clinical staff on the use of information systems
- Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards in the implementation and use of clinical systems
- Conduct data analysis and generate reports to support decisionmaking and improve patient care
- Work with IT teams and vendors to manage system upgrades patches and integrations
- Document system changes procedures and user guidelines
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education in health informatics information technology or a related field
- Previous experience as a Clinical Information System Analyst or in a similar role within a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of clinical information systems and healthcare IT applications
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Proficiency in configuring and managing clinical software systems
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to train and support clinical staff
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g. HIPAA HITECH)
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems CPHIMS) are a plus
