The main responsibilities of our Physical Therapist include:
- Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Provides educational information to patients in regard to injury prevention ergonomics restorative therapy and rehabilitation therapy.
- Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.
- Coordinates the physical therapy care for the patient population who are acutely ill and have medically complex needs which result in mobility and activities of daily living deficits.
- The Physical Therapist is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team and is expected to accurately assess the patients needs; identify and implement appropriate physical therapy treatment; coordinate and/or provide patient and family teaching and work in collaborative association with the interdisciplinary team to provide timely safe and cost effective treatment to achieve the optimal functional outcome.
- Further responsibilities include contributing to the costeffectiveness of services and programs of the Therapy Department.
Requirements
- Current or pending PT license (candidates with licenses in other states are welcome to apply)
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
- CPR certified
