Chief Legal Officer

Reporting directly to the group chairman and CEO, Digby Morris has been mandated by a large privately owned business in the state of Qatar to identify a suitably qualified individual for the role of Chief Legal Officer.

A well-known and long-established business in Doha, the company is a diversified trading conglomerate with vested interests in construction & engineering, real estate, retail and general trading subsidiaries.

The Role

Primary function is to lead and develop the legal department at corporate level supported by a team of in-house lawyers and paralegals. The legal department supports a broad spectrum of subsidiaries and JVs under the corporate umbrella.
Act as Legal Counsel in identifying and resolving companywide legal, arbitration and compliance issues.
Take the lead role in the ongoing development of the company's corporate governance framework.
Lead the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures for: Legal, Contract & Commercial, Procurement and, Litigation.
