About the job

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage cloudbased infrastructure services including compute storage network and security components.
• Implement and maintain cloud security best practices including managing IAM roles security groups and ensuring data protection.
• Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure efficient operation of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate and streamline operations and processes for deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
• Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection disaster recovery and fail over procedures.
• Stay current with industry trends make recommendations for improvements and participate in the planning and implementation of new cloud technologies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders regarding cloud infrastructure and related technologies.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in system administration with a very strong focus on at least one (preferably two) of cloud environments Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• 4 years of handson experience in setting up Linux (Ubuntu) based server environments including Apache MySQL and OpenVPN.
• Strong understanding of cloud services networking concepts and cloud security principles.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python) for the automation of tasks and operations.
• Advanced experience with Docker including containerization of applications managing Docker images and orchestrating containers using Kubernetes or similar technologies to enhance deployment processes and environment consistency.
• Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively internally as well as with customers.
• Experience setting up VMware and integrating SSO systems such as ADFS Okta SAML is a plus.
• Proficient in using software configuration management tools such as Puppet for automating server setup and management.
• Strong experience with version control systems particularly GitHub to manage code changes and collaboration.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field is a plus.
