Key responsibilities
- Perform a variety of duties to plan set up mask and spray parts to meet production requirements. Mask and/or grit blast part to prepare for coating. Use judgement in determining proper flow and speed of spray for the best results and compliance with all specifications.
- Perform incoming inspection prior to spray
- Plasma preparation such as Mask Grit blast machine set up and perform coating spray as per work instruction
- Ability to use various instrument to measure incoming and final coating thickness after plasma spray
- TPM check on machines
- Able to troubleshoot and replace gun spares when necessary
- Ability to operate Multicoat and 9MC plasma machines
- Ability to spray Plasma HVOF Flame and TAFA coatings
- Ability perform Multitask
- Ability to learn other shared services operation such as Water Jet ShotPeen and Glass Bead Peening operation
- Update Plasma logbook and prepare lab coupon submission form
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining plasma processing equipment in an aerospace or advanced manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of plasma physics gas chemistry and surface modification techniques.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards applicable to aerospace materials and components.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings specifications and work instructions.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools gauges and instruments for process monitoring and inspection.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory compliance in handling hazardous materials and equipment.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues in plasma systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment to uphold quality and safety standards.
