Masai School SeriesB funded JobTech startup is on a mission to pioneer a new model of accessible higher education with no upfront costs and where the school invests in the students instead of the other way around.
We are rethinking learning so that we can address the needs of both students and employers in tandem.
Masai School offers intensive & immersive courses that impart technical skills and soft skills needed to launch a new tech career.
We re looking for passionate talented people who want to change how the world thinks about higher education and unlock human potential regardless of circumstance.
The position we are hiring is for a Technical Skills Mentor someone with a passion for Coaching and facilitating learning.
Your core work will be to ensure that the newly admitted students at Masai School have a phenomenal experience as well as they are able to cope up with the pace of the curriculum at Masai School.
What is expected of you
Effectively mentor and develop students competencies in basic web development technologies while fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment.
Conduct 2 live onetomany sessions per week for the students.
Each session will be of duration: 60mins
Help students enhance their problemsolving skills that include structured thought processes and how to solve problems from scratch.
Have a strong understanding of one or more of these languages Java/Javascript/Python.
You should apply if you
- Have a strong passion for technology and an even greater passion for teaching mentoring and sharing your knowledge with others.
- Have excellent listening skills and the ability to patiently address students doubts and queries fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written to effectively convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner; comfortable and compelling in public speaking situations
- Demonstrated patience and empathy when working with students of varying skill levels and backgrounds adapting your approach as needed to ensure their success.
- Selfstarting with the ability to effectively work autonomously with little oversight
- People management skills
- Able to engage with students via a highenergy enthusiastic motivational training style
- Have a nontraditional story. Most of our students have taken a unique path to their new jobs. We like team members who know what its like to do that!
- Have teaching experience and have dealt with students from underresourced backgrounds
You should definitely reach you out if you
- Are currently studying or graduated from a Tier 1 Institute
- Done Internship or worked in with MAANG Companies
- 2 Years of Teaching Experience in Tech domain
