Rijk Zwaan is active worldwide as a vegetable breeding company that focuses on the development of highquality vegetable varieties for professional growers. Mutual respect a strong sense of responsibility and a high degree of employee involvement are the important starting points for our company. In Tanzania Rijk Zwaan is active in seed production and breeding support (Rijk Zwaan QSem in Tengeru Arusha) and in breeding and product development (Rijk Zwaan Afrisem in USA River Arusha). Currently we have about 500 employees and as we continue to grow we have the following vacancy for dedicated diligent Tanzanians:
Reports to: Administration Assistant
Job Summary: The Driver shall be responsible for the efficient and effective performance of duties and responsibilities pertaining to driving in the Administration Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
What does your day as a Driver at Rijk Zwaan Tanzania look like
In this position you are responsible for:
- Drive Rijk Zwaan vehicles
- Responsible for safekeeping of the vehicle and tools entrusted to him/her
- Maintains disciplined behavior and proper conduct in rendering services to his/her assignees
- Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle and tools
- Carryout minor mechanical repairs
- Performs messenger duties such as dispatching documents/letters collecting mail
- Maintains logbooks
- Reports promptly any defect or problems detected in the vehicl
- Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Qualification & Experience
- Holder of Form IV/VI Secondary Education with passes in Kiswahili and English.
- He/She must have a valid Class C Driving License /Drivers Grade II Certificate from recognized Institutions such as NIT or VETA will be an added advantage
- At least 2 years working experience in a similar field.
Competencies and Personal Attributes:
Excellent verbal and written expression in the English and Swahili language.
High integrity.
High ethical standards
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Physical and mental fitness.
Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately.
Team player: You are able to work as part of the team by contributing to the team s success.
Excellent communication skills.
Organization skills
Reliable honest and trustworthy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good time management
Be efficient and cost effective.
Attention to details.
Background check: A full background check is part of the procedure.
Salary Scale: Staff salary rank is according to the Rijk Zwaan Scheme of Services.
Tenure: Permanent Contract
