Job Description Roles and Responsibilities • Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work, in-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance, uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks, has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems • May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent • Perform troubleshooting activities at site locations to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implements corrective actions • Perform installation and commissioning activities at customer site locations • Be capable of working unsupervised and leading small teams • Performs a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure the technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of GE drive systems • Develop presentations and provides training and instruction to customers on drive operations • Provide continuous, 24 hours by 7 day a week, support in response to customer calls for service • Ensure appropriate response and service is provided to customer Required Qualifications • At least 10 years of experience in the relevant field • Bachelor's degree in electrical and mechatronics engineering • Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office applications • Possess detailed knowledge, competence and expertise with installation and commissioning tasks and services • Field service and commissioning experience with drives and/or power and/or automation systems and/or dynamic positioning • Strong oral and written communication skills in English • Maintain a valid driver’s license
