Full Time

Responsibilities:
Ability to load flat bed and tilt bed trailers.
Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status following applicable state and federal regulations.
Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
Check all loadrelated documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
Drive trucks with capacities greater than 13 tons including tractortrailer combinations to transport and deliver products or other materials.
Secure cargo for transport using ropes blocks chain binders or covers.
Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
Lifting production objects of up to 50 lbs.
Performs other duties as assigned
Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements
- CDL class A license and exceptional driving record
- Availability to work long hours weekends and if necessary holidays.
- Ability to work in all types of weather.
- Experience loading flatbed trailers.
- Experience with tilt bed trailers is a plus.
