We are seeking a skilled and experienced Composites Design Engineer to join our Client for Bangalore Location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing structural parts composites sheet metal and plastic components particularly in the context of galley design. The role requires proficiency in Catia V5 and a solid understanding of GD&T.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Utilize Catia V5 to design parts surfaces sheet metal and assemblies.

Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly.

Design and integrate structural parts composites sheet metal and plastic components for galley systems.

Ensure designs meet all structural and performance requirements focusing on weight strength and durability.

Apply knowledge of honeycomb composites and other composite materials in design projects.

Design components with considerations for trim and finishes.

Work on the design and integration of trolleys inserts (such as ovens and beverage makers) and other galley equipment.

Interpret and apply GD&T in design and manufacturing documentation.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.

Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet all necessary standards.

Work closely with crossfunctional teams including manufacturing quality and project management to ensure seamless project execution.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.

Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Requirements

Proficiency in Catia V5 (part design surface sheet metal drafting and assembly workbenches).

Strong understanding of structural parts composites sheet metal and plastic components.

Knowledge of honeycomb composites and their applications.

Proficient with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Experience with drawing reading and interpretation.

Familiarity with trim and finishes.

Knowledge of trolley design and inserts used in galley systems.

Extensive experience and understanding of composites and their applications in structural and galley design.

Knowledge of sheet metal and its use in manufacturing and design processes.

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a related field.

25 years of experience in composites design preferably in the aerospace or transportation industry.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
