Service Engineer

Perform installation maintenance and repair of marine electronic and communication systems onboard vessels.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for marine electronics systems including navigation communication and automation equipment.

Assess and recommend upgrades for existing systems to enhance performance and compliance with industry standards.

Train vessel crews on the operation and maintenance of electronic systems and equipment.

Maintain accurate records of service activities including inspections repairs and installations.

Ensure all work complies with relevant maritime regulations and safety standards.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients addressing inquiries and providing solutions to technical issues.

Conduct field service visits often requiring travel to various marine locations including offshore environments.

Work closely with design and engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.

Stay updated on advancements in marine electronics and communication technologies through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Marine Engineering or a related field or equivalent technical certification.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine electronics or communication systems with handson troubleshooting experience.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing marine electronic equipment and familiarity with navigation and communication technologies.

Relevant certifications (e.g. GMDSS SATCOM) are preferred demonstrating expertise in marine communication systems.
