Job Summary:
The Payroll Processor will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This role includes maintaining payroll records ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations and providing excellent support to employees regarding payrollrelated inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll on a weekly basis for 50 employees.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages benefits deductions and taxes.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Verify and process timesheets and attendance records.
- Prepare and distribute payroll checks and direct deposits.
- Handle payrollrelated inquiries and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate employee data.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with payroll audits.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
- Previous experience in manufacturing/construction
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g. ADP Paychex QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in payroll (e.g. Certified Payroll Professional).
- Experience with benefits administration.
- Familiarity with multistate payroll processing.
