One of the largest private client practices in the United States with over 80 estate planning attorneys is looking for a Tax Manager for their Private Client Department. Trust Operations supports attorneys who serve as trustees.

The successful candidate will manage the fiduciary income tax administration process ensuring accurate and timely preparation of federal and state fiduciary income tax returns and related documents for trust accounts with the trustees. The Tax Manager will play a critical role in supervising inhouse preparation of fiduciary returns and coordinating with an outside accounting firm as we transition to outside preparation of returns for many of our accounts. The Manager will establish protocols for information gathering tax preparation and return review payment of estimates and interfacing with the outside accounting firm and will ensure compliance with procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of five years of experience in fiduciary tax preparation.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong working knowledge of OneSource and ProSystem fx fiduciary tax preparation software and Form 1041.
- Strong working knowledge of SEI platform.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detailoriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
