Fabrication Manager

Position Summary:

Our distinguished client is a top mechanical construction company with headquarters in Qatar that specializes in providing solutions to the oil and gas petrochemical and utilities industries. We are in search of a knowledgeable and adept Fabrication Manager to lead fabrication efforts for our projects. The successful candidate should have at least 10 years of experience demonstrating deep expertise in managing fabrication processes and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daytoday operations of the fabrication department including planning scheduling and coordinating fabrication activities.
  

• Ensure that all fabrication processes are performed efficiently safely and in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
  

• Monitor and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  

• Set clear performance objectives provide guidance and conduct performance evaluations.
  

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection processes.
  

• Address and resolve any quality issues or nonconformances in the fabrication process.
  

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  

• Manage inventory levels of raw materials tools and equipment required for fabrication.
  

• Invigilate the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment and machinery.
  

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements cost savings and productivity improvements.
  

• Collaborate with project managers engineers and other departments to ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines.
  

• Provide input on project planning including resource allocation cost estimates and fabrication strategies.
  

• Prepare and present reports on fabrication progress challenges and achievements to management.
  

• Maintain accurate records of fabrication activities including work orders inspection reports and production metrics
  

• Prepare detailed reports on fabrication performance including key performance indicators and project status updates.
  

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  

• Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Welding Inspector Lean Manufacturing) are a plus.
  

• Minimum of 10 15 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing.
  

• Proven track record in managing fabrication operations leading teams and ensuring highquality production.
