INTL Group Head of Construction

Our esteemed Client an international real estate developer and investor is currently seeking a highly experienced Group Head of Construction to manage its dynamic development pipeline throughout Europe. This executive will be key in ensuring the strategic oversight and success of all international project management and construction activities.

This includes managing comprehensive project budgets enhancing costeffectiveness and supporting collaboration among local finance and construction units procurement and cost engineering departments. The Group Head of Construction will report directly to the Groups top management.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Oversight and Project Budget Management:

• Oversee the preparation of project budgets across the region ensuring their alignment with strategic goals and costeffectiveness.

• Coordinate and consolidate budget requests for executive consideration and approval.

• Leadership and Crossfunctional Collaboration:

• Cultivate and maintain strong effective relationships with the local Finance Construction teams and Procurement/Cost Engineering departments to facilitate seamless operations and the achievement of project objectives

• Will create and manage effectively the Grouplevel team including QS Project Controlling Product Design Innovation etc.

• Construction Process Optimization:

• Leverage expert knowledge to refine construction processes ensuring project evaluations contribute to meaningful insights and continual improvement of practices

• Innovative solutions to largescale pipeline including value engineering lean construction and similar

• Expert Advisory and Risk Management:

• Act as a key advisor in the budget approval process providing foresight into potential challenges cost implications and risks associated with construction projects.

• Proven leadership in executing a meticulous and comprehensive budget approval process.
• Adept at managing formal processes and applying collected insights to optimize future projects.

Key Requirements:

• Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the European real estate sector particularly in construction management.
• Educational Background: A university degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying is required with finance and RICS accreditation being advantageous.
• Leadership and Team Management: Exceptional ability to lead inspire and manage teams including proficiency in remote management.
• Financial and Construction Project Management: Expertise in budgeting forecasting and the financial management of construction projects.
• Analytical and ProblemSolving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a track record of effective decisionmaking and problemresolution.
• Effective Communication: Skilled in clearly communicating project objectives milestones and expectations to teams and stakeholders.
• Construction and Engineering Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies standards and regulatory compliance.
• Travel: Willingness to frequent travel is necessary to be effective in this role (23 days per week)
