Responsibilities:

• Screen assess and identify students with communication disorders that adversely affect their educational progress.
• Develop and provide direct and indirect services within the student’s educational setting according to the goals and objectives of the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
• Collaborate with other classroom teachers and related service providers in the development and implementation of best practices.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid PEL with a Speech Language Pathologist (teaching or nonteaching) endorsement.
• Masters Degree and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology required.
• Knowledge of the principles and techniques of speechlanguage therapy.
• Knowledge of the methods and procedures for the assessment and treatment of communication disorders.
• Ability to develop evaluate and modify IEPs based on assessment data.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
