AWS Lambda Developer

Role Overview:

• Develop and Deploy Serverless Applications: Design develop and deploy AWS Lambda functions using Java.
  
• API Integration: Configure AWS API Gateway to trigger Lambda functions and develop RESTful APIs.
  
• Database Management: Design and manage MySQL databases on Amazon RDS.
  
• Cloud Services Utilisation: Use various AWS services including S3 IAM CloudWatch and VPC.
  
• Security and Best Practices: Implement security best practices for serverless applications.
  
• Continuous Integration and Deployment: Set up CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline or Jenkins.
  
• Monitoring and Logging: Use AWS CloudWatch and AWS XRay for monitoring and debugging applications.
  
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for code and system architecture.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers UX designers and project managers.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  
• Experience:
  
• At least 2 years of experience in Java development.
  
• Experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures.
  
• Knowledge of MySQL database design and optimisation.
  
• Technical Skills:
  
• Proficiency in Java and Java frameworks.
  
• Knowledge of AWS services (Lambda API Gateway RDS S3 IAM CloudWatch).
  
• Understanding of RESTful API design.
  
• Experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline Jenkins).
  
• Proficiency with version control systems particularly Git.
  
• Soft Skills:
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  
• Detailoriented with a focus on quality.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
  
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
• AWS Certified Developer Associate or similar certification.
  
• Experience with other databases like DynamoDB.
  
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (Python JavaScript).
