Manager Infrastructure Operations
Type: Fulltime
Location: West Greater Toronto Area
Environment: Hybrid 2 days per week onsite
As the Manager of Infrastructure Operations you will lead a team of 57 individuals responsible for DevOps/DevSecOps networking and infrastructure. Your mandate is to lead coach and mentor the team through ongoing digital transformation and maintenance.
You will:
For Infrastructure:
- Manage activities for all infrastructure (cloud/onpremise) technology services ensuring their availability and performance meet SLO s though a team and MSP. (MSP will be retired in 2025 once 100% on Cloud)
- Monitor and maintain service levels of all technology infrastructure services proactively identify emerging problems and mitigate to minimize downtime.
- Lead a team of cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineers by providing guidance mentorship and guidance professional development opportunities. Adopt a resultsdriven team culture.
- Create develop and deliver a comprehensive infrastructure roadmap aligned with the company s strategic priorities. Ensuring solutions meet performance scalability security and costefficiency requirements.
- Effectively manage key vendors and suppliers by setting up KPIs and facilitating reviews. Ensure issues and problems are tracked assigned and actioned.
- Establish and enforce security operations to protect technology assets. Ensure Platform Engineering and Operations complies with all Information Security policies.
- Maintain an executable disaster recovery and business continuity plan for all infrastructurerelated services.
For DevOps:
- Develop and implement a DevOps strategy aligned with the organization s strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize DevOps initiatives.
- Identify gaps in DevOps services to improve the development life cycle.
- Evaluate select and implement cloud agnostic DevOps tools to improve automation deployment and monitoring
Requirements
A bachelor s degree in computer science information manager or equivalent combination of experience.
A minimum of 46 years experience in a Manager level role in IT.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a successful team of IT professionals.
A minimum of 2 years AWS Cloud experience. Solid understanding of costcontainment and DRP
A minimum of 5 years maintaining network systems.
Solid understanding of ITIL like practices.
Expert verbal and written communications kills; stakeholder management; problem solving and influencing skills.
Expert datadriven decisionsmaking skills.
An ability to manage ambiguity.
