Staff Nurse

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assessing patient health and documenting their medical history
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitoring and reporting patient symptoms and changes in condition
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Providing patient and family education on disease prevention and management
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols
• Participating in patient care conferences and staff meetings
• Assisting with medical procedures and examinations
• Documenting all patient care actions and interventions
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate care
• Overseeing the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment
• Supporting and mentoring nursing assistants and other staff
• Adhering to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree in Nursing
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
• Knowledge of patient care regulations and best practices
• Demonstrated empathy and compassion in patient interactions
