MTSSTAFF is looking to hire a mid-senior level Unix System Administrator for a client located in Washington, DC. This is ashort term contract position (3-6 months but may extend longer).The position is 100% remote in DC. (REMOTE) Clearance: Candidates must be US Citizens or permanentresidents Duration:3-6month contract (possibleextension) Responsibilities Theposition will be focusedon: -patching Unixservers-documentation and providing logs upon request from the Applicationprogrammers anddevelopers-analyzing Rapid7 vulnerability reports-workthrough Sys-test and UAT on vulnerabilityremediation. Essential Job Functions Analyzes ,logs, tracks and resolves complex software/hardware matters ofsignificance pertaining to networking connectivity issues,printers, servers, and applications to meet businessneeds. Coordinateshardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure work isproperly performed according to company policy. Recommendsresolution to complex matters of significance and coordinates theimplementation of the approved course ofaction.
