Job Description: Safety Officer

Position: Safety Officer
Gender: Male candidates only
Experience: 3 to 5 years
Salary Range: 20000 INR to 60000 INR per month
Location: Raigarh Balodabazar

Job Summary:
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment on construction and industrial sites. The role involves implementing safety policies conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management and experience in industrial or construction settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Policy Implementation:

   • Develop implement and maintain safety policies and procedures.
   • Ensure that safety policies are in compliance with local state and federal regulations.

2. Risk Assessment:

   • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
   • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

3. Training and Education:

   • Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees.
   • Promote safety awareness and accident prevention.

4. Incident Investigation:

   • Investigate accidents incidents and nearmisses.
   • Prepare reports and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.

5. Compliance Monitoring:

   • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
   • Maintain records of safety inspections incidents and training sessions.

6. Emergency Preparedness:

   • Develop and implement emergency response plans.
   • Coordinate emergency drills and exercises.

7. Coordination and Communication:

   • Liaise with management employees and regulatory authorities on safety matters.
   • Provide guidance and support to site supervisors and workers on safety issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a safety officer role within the construction or industrial sector.
• Indepth knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong organizational and problemsolving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and safety management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in safety management (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH) is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work on construction and industrial sites which may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
• Physical fitness to perform site inspections and emergency response activities.
