Job Title: Operations Manager

Job Summary: As the Operations Manager for a financial services fintech platform you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational activities related to the distribution and administration of mutual funds lending and other financial products offered.

Your role will involve collaborating with crossfunctional teams implementing operational strategies and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the financial services industry mutual fund industry excellent leadership skills and a keen eye for process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

Lead and supervise the daytoday operations of the mutual fund distribution company ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes.

Develop and implement operational policies procedures and best practices to enhance productivity and mitigate risks.

Monitor operational metrics identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to achieve operational excellence.

Customer Service Monitoring and Optimisation

2. Team Leadership:

Provide guidance mentorship and coaching to the operations and customer service team fostering a culture of high performance and continuous growth.

Set clear performance goals and objectives

Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs to enhance team capabilities.

Promote effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments to ensure seamless operations.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

Stay up to date with industry regulations such as AMFI requirements AntiMoney Laundering (AML) Know Your Customer (KYC) and data privacy requirements.

Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal compliance policies throughout all operational processes.

Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to develop and implement necessary controls and procedures.

4. Process Improvement:

Identify operational inefficiencies and develop strategies to streamline processes enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Conduct regular audits to assess operational risks identify control gaps and implement corrective actions

Leverage technology and automation to optimize operational workflows and enhance overall efficiency.

5. Relationship Management:

Collaborate with external stakeholders including fund managers custodians transfer agents and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key business partners vendors and service providers.

Represent the company in client meetings and industry forums providing operational expertise and insights.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelors degree in finance business administration or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (such as CFA or CIPM) preferred.

Proven experience (3 years) in operations management within the mutual fund industry or a related financial services sector.

Strong knowledge of mutual fund distribution operations including fund administration transfer agency compliance and regulatory requirements and lending operations.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational objectives.

Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities with a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.

Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.

Proficiency in using technology tools and systems relevant to financial services operations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
