Transport Planner Engineer

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

• Conduct traffic impact assessments traffic flow analyses and safety studies to understand transportation needs and identify potential issues.
• Design transportation infrastructure including roadways intersections traffic signals and pedestrian facilities while considering factors like capacity safety and sustainability.
• Work on public transit projects including bus rapid transit (BRT) and light rail systems to improve mass transit options and reduce traffic congestion.
• Optimize traffic signal timing to improve traffic flow reduce congestion and enhance safety.
• Develop parking management plans and strategies to optimize parking utilization in urban areas.
• Use transportation modeling software to simulate and predict traffic behavior and make datadriven decisions.
• Consider environmental impacts and work on projects that reduce the carbon footprint of transportation systems.
• Identify and implement safety measures such as road design modifications and traffic calming to reduce accidents.
• Work closely with government agencies municipalities developers and other stakeholders to ensure projects align with community needs and goals.
• Ensure compliance with local state and federal transportation regulations and standards.
• Estimate project costs prepare budgets and assist with financial planning for transportation projects.
• Prepare detailed reports plans and technical documents for project proposals permitting and public presentations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the client and the line manager.

Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering Construction Management or equivalent.
• A postgraduate degree in Engineering or an MBA will be considered a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience working on large scale green field infrastructure development projects.
• Ideally a combination of Development experience and more traditional PMO experience.
• PMP PMI CIOB or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
• Strong track record in delivering projects in a fastmoving and challenging environment.
• Proven experience in building & infrastructure and leading highperforming teams.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
