FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

- Previous experience in developing and cascading accountability mechanisms within programme design required.
- Knowledge of global best practices of AAP.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Jordanian socio-economic context, development challenges, and best practices in promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
Required Skills And Experience
Education and Certification:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women's studies, international development, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A project/programme management certification would be an added advantage
Experience:
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in capacity development.
- At least 2 years of experience in designing and implementing gender and protection related capacity development initiatives;
- Prior experience working with government and national institutions is an asset.
- Prior experience in women’s empowerment and social protection programmes is an asset
- Prior experience in research, data collection and analysis, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning systems, accountability to affected people in humanitarian and development settings.
- Prior experience working with programme teams in integrating accountability frameworks within programme design/implementation.
- Experience in ensuring inclusion of gender (and other intersectional considerations) within AAP.
- Experience in conducting research and data analysis with national stakeholders, government and civil society organizations from gender perspective.
- Sound knowledge of global best practices around AAP.
- Experience on working in the Jordan refugee response.
- Experience with working with partners including local women’s organisations in a mutually reinforcing and equal manner.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
