We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Serious Injury Solicitor to join one of the country leading specialist serious and catastrophic injury solicitors. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of serious injury claims providing expert legal advice and representation to clients who have sustained severe injuries. This role demands a high level of empathy professionalism and legal acumen to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management:
- Handle a varied caseload of serious injury claims including but not limited to catastrophic injuries brain injuries spinal injuries and amputations.
- Conduct thorough investigations gathering and analysing evidence to build strong cases.
Client Liaison:
- Provide compassionate and clear legal advice to clients keeping them informed of case progress and next steps.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships ensuring clients feel supported throughout the legal process.
Legal Documentation:
- Draft review and submit all necessary legal documents including pleadings witness statements and expert reports.
- Ensure all documentation complies with relevant legal standards and regulations.
Negotiation and Settlement:
- Negotiate settlements with opposing parties aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Prepare and represent clients in mediation and settlement discussions.
Court Representation:
- Represent clients in court preparing and presenting cases effectively.
- Liaise with barristers and other legal professionals as required.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with changes in personal injury law and relevant case law.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in serious injury and catastrophic injury claims.
- Proven track record of managing highvalue complex personal injury cases.
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise advice.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in legal research and use of case management systems.
