Personal Injury Lawyer 3-6 Years Experience

• Manage a caseload of personal injury files including motor vehicle accidents slips and falls medical malpractice and other related claims.
  
• Conduct client consultations to evaluate potential cases and provide legal advice.
  
• Draft review and file legal documents including pleadings motions discovery requests and settlement agreements.
  
• Represent clients in court mediation arbitration and other legal proceedings.
  
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
  
• Collaborate with legal assistants paralegals and other support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  
• Maintain uptodate knowledge of relevant laws regulations and legal precedents.
  
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and excellent client service.
  
• Participate in business development and marketing activities to promote the firms services.
  

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from an accredited law school.
  
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  
• 36 years of experience practicing personal injury law with a proven track record of handling complex cases.
  
• Strong litigation skills including experience with trials motions and other court proceedings.
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  
• Strong negotiation and problemsolving skills.
  
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  
• Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with legal software and case management systems.
  

• Experience with medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases.
  
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  
• Strong community involvement and professional network in the Ottawa region.
