We are seeking a talented CAD Engineer with 35 years of experience in CATIA specializing in Automotive BIW particularly focused on roof systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing roof components for automotive applications coupled with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of automotive roof systems including roof panels rails mechanisms and related components using CATIA software.

Create detailed 3D CAD models assemblies and drawings for roof system components ensuring compliance with design standards and specifications.

Collaborate closely with design engineers stylists and other stakeholders to translate concept designs into feasible and manufacturable roof system solutions.

Conduct design reviews and participate in crossfunctional meetings to evaluate design concepts address technical challenges and optimize performance cost and weight targets.

Support prototype development and testing activities by providing accurate CAD data and assisting in the resolution of designrelated issues.

Communicate effectively with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of roof system components into the vehicle assembly process.

Generate technical documentation including design reports engineering change requests and BOMs to support the development and production of roof systems.

Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in automotive BIW design particularly related to roof systems to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

35 years of experience in CAD design with a focus on Automotive BIW specifically in roof systems.

Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 with demonstrated expertise in surfacing solid modeling and assembly design.

Strong understanding of automotive design principles structural analysis and manufacturing processes with a specialization in roof system design.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to convey technical information clearly and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Detailoriented approach with a commitment to delivering highquality CAD models and designs within project timelines.

Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work independently or as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.

Experience with PLM software and knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations are advantageous.
