Role: Financial Crime Legal Orders Senior Oversight Manager (II&E) VP

This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations for an engagement with one of our premiere Banking clients.
Overall purpose the role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide leadership direction and oversight of Financial Crime Legal Orders related matters. This will involve the role holder working with and acting as a point of contact with Chief Security Office Group Financial Crime Operations Fraud and Risk functions Legal Transaction Monitoring and others providing advice and guidance in relation to Financial Crime Legal Orders related strategies policies and training.
Role and Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with risk owners and key stakeholders including Court Orders and Police Liaison Unit Senior Management Money Laundering Reporting Officers Legal Financial Crime Accountable Executives Global Surveillance Transaction Monitoring and Group Financial Crime Operations on issues impacting Financial Crime risk appetite across the bank.
- Evolve the Target Operating Model (TOM) and implementation plan for rollout of Financial Crime Legal Orders oversight globally.
- Actively engage on strategic developments in Financial Crime Legal Orders such as automation initiatives data and technology strategies or other innovations to provide considered guidance on the risk implications of proposals for Financial Crime Legal Orders.
- Provide thought leadership on strategic direction for Financial Crime Legal Orders internally and externally with government and law enforcement partners.
- Manage and oversee the review of Financial Crime Legal Orders processes against legal and regulatory expectations as well as industry best practice.
- Review and research identified sources of information and knowledge to assess current and future requirements for the Policies and Control Framework including the impact of actual and potential legislative change.
- Analyse and interpret management information and Financial Crime Legal Orders data to identify trends develop actionable insights for risk owners and key stakeholders and monitor the effectiveness of the control framework taking appropriate action with Operational and Business Areas to address actual and developing issues.
- Lead the identification design and implementation of any strategic and tactical activities necessary to ensure continuous improvement of compliance performance.
- Act as a subject matter expert for resolution of issues raised by Businesses and specialist areas senior management and external bodies.
- Lead the resolution of issues/recommendations raised by the banks Internal Audit / Compliance Monitoring or as a result of audits by external bodies e.g. Financial Conduct Authority.
- Oversee and/or lead special reviews and respond to adhoc requests from Senior Executives making appropriate recommendations and facilitating implementation into the business.
- Drive through collaboration with key internal partners the achievement and maintenance of the required quality in Financial Crime Legal Orders.
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
- Work with external regulatory bodies such as NCA and FCA to research analyse and produce recommendations for changes and/or improvements to relevant policies and Control Framework based on current and developing issues /incidents.
- Act as principal point of contact for stakeholders in the UK and globally on matter impacting Financial Crime Legal Orders risk.
- Lead as part of a high performing team fostering an inclusive culture with a focus on developing talented individuals to facilitate career development in the Compliance function and across the wider organisation.
Decisionmaking and Problem Solving
- Lead engagement with key internal and external partners to resolve complex matters pertaining to Financial Crime Legal Orders.
- Proactively identify and lead the enhancement of areas within current procedures and controls to ensure Financial Crime compliance with regulatory obligations and expectations.
- Analayse strategic opportunities and risk appetite decisions relating to Financial Crime Legal Orders and advise risk owners on the implications of those decisions or opportunities.
Risk and Control Objective
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and the banks internal Policies and Policy Standards.
Experience & Skills Required
- Significant experience in regulatory compliance and risk management.
- General knowledge of the banks products markets and delivery channels.
- Robust understanding of risk management and its value to the organisation.
- Deep technical expertise on issues impacting the UK regulatory environment/policies/legal framework as they relate to Financial Crime Legal Orders AML and CTF.
- Effective knowledge and understanding of the banks UK overall strategy
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma level qualification or equivalent in Financial Crime/AML
