Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into effective database designs and data models.
• Optimize database performance through indexing partitioning and other best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve databaserelated issues providing technical support to endusers as needed.
• Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal policies and procedures.
• Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for review.
• Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests troubleshooting and integrating new features.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies recommending and implementing improvements to existing systems and processes.
• Educate staff members through training and individual support.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 year s experience of working with Databases and 2 years with Snowflake
• Proven experience as a Snowflake database architect. In an analytics environment.
• Expertise in Snowflake data modelling techniques including dimensional modelling and normalization Indepth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions recovery security and monitoring).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
• An ability to understand frontend users requirements and a problemsolving attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Strong analytical problemsolving and critical thinking skills.
• Advantages include certifications in Snowflake Cloud Data Platform strong familiarity with PowerBI for analytics & visualizations and strong familiarity with Azure.
• Good understanding of infrastructure layers (networking information security database etc. ) and ability to work with respective infrastructure teams DevOps and app development teams to help structure high performing cost effective solutions.
• Education in computer Science information systems or a related field.
