Overview

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimize solar power systems for residential commercial and industrial projects
• Produce detailed layouts including electrical and structural components for solar panel installations
• Conduct site surveys and assess the solar potential of locations
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop project plans and implementation strategies
• Ensure compliance with local and national electrical and building codes
• Perform shading analysis and solar access studies
• Evaluate and select appropriate solar components and equipment
• Conduct performance simulations and financial analysis of solar projects
• Provide technical support and guidance during the construction and commissioning phases
• Optimize system performance through monitoring and troubleshooting
• Stay updated on industry trends regulations and best practices
• Manage project documentation and create technical reports
• Participate in client meetings and present technical solutions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and tools

Required qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Renewable Energy or related field
• Proven experience in solar design including PV system layout and electrical design
• Proficiency in CAD software and PV system modeling tools
• Strong knowledge of solar photovoltaic technologies components and equipment
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (NEC IEEE UL etc.)
• Ability to conduct site surveys and perform solar resource assessments
• Experience in project management and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment and meet project deadlines
• Knowledge of economic and financial aspects of solar projects
• Certifications in solar design or relevant areas are a plus
• Understanding of energy storage systems and grid integration is desirable
• Commitment to environmental sustainability and renewable energy initiatives
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
